What started 20 years ago as a hobby of documenting my life and those around me, has grown into a career fueled by my passion for bringing joy to others through beautiful, simple yet elegant “works of heart.”
It is not just about taking pictures for me; it is about the unique opportunity I have been given to capture priceless moments of time and present each image with the emotion of that moment.
My goal at LAF Photography is to create timeless portraits in a comfortable relaxed environment. I prefer to conduct my sessions in natural light at your home or a local park. Somewhere your family is familiar with and can relax. This type of environment, of course, results in the best and most natural looking photographs.
My style includes both classic portraiture as well as a photo journalistic approach. Imagine seeing your family as they really are. Laughing, interacting, being themselves. None of those frozen grins and stiff poses associated with many mass market studios.
To accomplish this I will take the time to bond with those I am photographing…to get to know them and help them relax. Especially children, having 3 small children of my own is the best training in the patience department.
